Any of you who may be now, or once was a “Trekkie” may recognize the title of this Legendtorial as also being the title of one of the episodes of the original Star Trek series from the 1960s. Ah, the 1960s. The decade when America changed and the entire world changed as events such as a President being assassinated and young men from our country being killed in the jungles of a country many could not even find on a map. By the end of the decade, Americans had put men on the moon and brought them safely back to earth, but unrest in the country was reaching a boiling point. Students killed at Kent State University for protesting the war in Viet Nam. Change being empowered by flower children and smoking the funny weed which is now being legalized in some parts of the country. The decade of the 60s was, indeed, a decade of change to rival any decade in history.
