The Southern 500 is Back in Darlington on Labor Day Weekend
The Southern 500 is Back in Darlington on Labor Day Weekend and to capture a well-known phrase from a TV icon Don Knott's, a.k.a. Barney Fife of Mayberry fame. "ANDY", "ANDY", "ANDY", "ANDY you just gotta' come see it's going to be REALLY BIG ! ".
That's whats about to reoccur in the heart of Dixie in a small southern town much like Mayberry. This coming Labor Day weekend Sept, 4-5-6th will be really big as Darlington Raceway offer's a look back at the sport of stock car racing. Darlington was Nascar's first official superspeedway hosting events annually since 1950. Chip Wile and his race track staffer's have went "ALL-OUT" with what they are billing as "Throwback" paint scheme's to the modern era race team's. I think all of the team's either big or small saw the chance to in some small way, pay respect to their forefather's from which this fast paced sport originated from.
Cudo's to all the dedicated corporate sponsor's whom have allowed the 60's and 70's era color's to be brought back to modern-day Nascar fan's to reconnect with the sports rich history.
