Over the years, NASCAR, like all racing bodies, has shrunk and grown, but most of all it changed. Some day what we call old will be ancient and what we call modern will be old. The faces change, but the objective remains the same: win the race. There are the personality traits: soft, humble, proud, egomaniacal, aggressive, tough, rough, and even laid-back.
