Once again this my favorite car of all, remember looking all over Charlotte looking for a t-shirt that was white with a big red # 16,if we only knew then how big the t- shirt business would become.

Question:I can't remember exactly so I'll ask, was the white # 16 built and raced before the red # 16 ? I remember both cars . Were they similar to the Pistone style chassis?

Hi Gary, we always enjoy your staying in touch and for showing interst in our pictures.Your answer is yes to both guestions, and if you do remember the 16s', you know they were both built with "one goal," to out run Ralph Earnhardt!!! They both did many times, which made Jivie Simpson and Bud Love very happy car owners, not to even mention their driver!!!! Always had that on our minds as Ralph was the best at car buliding and driving.God bless, and we love you,Billy and Barbara
