This would have to be the dirt track that I went to with my Uncle and Cousin in the Fifties. It would have been easy driving distance from Angier, NC. Does anyone know if the track had banked turns? I recall a framing and baming incident that sent one racer up the bank and off the track. Out of sight of the crowd, he circled around to the backstretch and came flying over the rail and back on the track and gave the rascal his "come-upence!" In retrospect, I am sure the drivers were all full of liquid courage on that hot dusty night.
