Leland Raceway
This 1990's era aerial clearly shows the footprint of the old Leland (NC) Raceway. Leland was one of those places where "going to a fight, a race broke out......" but it was wildly successful. Running from the late '60's into the early '80's. Leland could not weather the effect of another area track (Richard Brickhouse's Pender County Speedway) and the asphalt experiment that was the rage of the era.
