This week, unfortunately, we have sad news to share. Longtime Georgia racer John Henry Maddox passed away on April 15, at the age of 75. Maddox, a true Georgia racer, is remembered this week over at Georgia Racing History.com .

Last year, GRH.com's Mike Bell did an extensive interview and story on Maddox, who was a multi-time winner and track champion at tracks all over the state, including Dixie Speedway, Rome, Lavonia, Forsyth County and Hall County Speedway. He was a tough competitor at a time when you had to be tough to be a winner, and many times Maddox proved to be the man to beat. Mike shares John Henry's story this us this week over at Georgia Racing History.com .

Happy Birthday wishes go out this week on April 26 to Gus Hutchison ( the only Georgian to ever compete in a Formula 1 event).

Thanks everybody, and have a great weekend!
