This week, we look a throwback to some great racing moments over at Georgia Racing History.com .

When officials at Gresham Motorsports Park announced last week that they would be holding races on Wednesday night on July 20 and Aug. 3, it brought to mind some of the great mid-week shows that we used to see several times a week at tracks like Athens Speedway, Banks County Speedway, Toccoa Speedway and the Peach Bowl .

This week, we remember some of those great times and tracks over at Georgia Racing History.com .

Unfortunately, we have some sad news to share as well. In case you haven't heard, Betty Mosteller , wife of Georgia Racing Hall of Fame member Jimmy Mosteller , passed away last week. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jimmy, his family and friends during this difficult time.

In other news, in other news, the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame is working hard to get ready for the fourth annual Lakewood Speedway Reunion , scheduled for Aug. 6 at the Hall of Fame in Dawsonville. Look for a major announcement to come your way later today on the reunion, but I'll give you a little heads up.......this year's reunion will be held in honor of Hall of Fame member Jimmy Summerour !
