Hi folks, I hope everyone is ready for a GREAT weekend!!!

This week, we review a current Georgia driver who has had a season worthy of a Hall of Famer over at Georgia Racing History.com .

Bubba Pollard of Senoia, Georgia, has had a season that is the envy of many drivers. He has recorded 18 Late Model feature victories at some of the fastest and most difficult short tracks in the southeast. He's done this while showing the poise and determination of a grizzled veteran, despite being in his mid 20s.

For this and other reasons, Pollard will be honored tonight as the inaugural Georgia Racing Hall of Fame Driver of the Year at tonight's GRHOF Induction banquet

You can read more about his season and why he will be receiving this honor over at Georgia Racing History.com .

Speaking of which, if you haven't gotten your tickets for tonight's 2011 Georgia Racing Hall of Fame Induction Banquet, you better go ahead and get them now online ! Last word was that only a small handful of tickets remained, and once they're gone, they're gone!!!! This year, we'll be inducting George Elliott, Mike Head, Harold Kite, Swayne Pritchett and Ken Ragan. Visit here for details on how to order your tickets, or call the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame today at (706) 216-RACE (7223).

But please, if you are thinking of waiting until the last minute and getting a ticket at the door, consider going ahead and buying them online today. Once again, when they're gone, they're gone.

And, make sure you come back to Dawsonville on Saturday and Sunday for the 44th annual Mountain Moonshine Festival!!! GRHOF member Rex White will be the Grand Marshall this year, and it promises the be one of the best festivals ever!!! Can't wait to see you there!!!!

Happy Birthday wishes go out this week on Oct. 21 in memory of Jesse James Taylor (1929-2003), on Oct. 23 to Richard Johns, and on Oct. 27 to Dick Trickle.

Thanks everybody, and have a great week!
