First off, let me say a HUGE thank you to everybody who came out last Friday night to the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame for the 2011 induction banquet. It was a sell out, and we hope you had as much fun as we did!

In case you missed it (and if you did, you missed one of the best ones ever!), we have a look back at the big night this week over at Georgia Racing History.com .

George Elliott, Mike Head, Harold Kite, Swayne Pritchett and Ken Ragan were inducted into the Hall Friday night. Also, Bubba Pollard was honored as the inaugural Georgia Racing Hall of Fame Driver of the Year, J.B. Day received the Annie Dean Samples Spirit Award and 1960 Sprint Cup Champion Rex White was honored for his contributions to racing.

You can read the full run down and see lots and lots of photos courtesy of Justin Poole over at Georgia Racing History.com .

And special thanks to all the GRHOF volunteers who worked so hard to make everything happen. We couldn't do any of it without you!

Some sad news to pass on to you this week. A long time friend to Georgia racing, Richard Abercrombie, passed away Sunday afternoon. Abercrombie was a huge supporter of Georgia racing and the Hall of Fame, and his help was invaluable in learning not only of several drivers from that area, but meeting several of them and doing interviews. You can go here for more information. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all his friends and family.

Happy Birthday wishes go out this week on Nov. 1 to Jayski and on Nov. 3 to Vaudell Sosebee.

Thanks everybody, and have a great week!
