This week, with the 28th annual running of one of the biggest short track races in Georgia set to roll off, we take a look at how a Georgia Racing Hall of Famer fared in the famed World Crown 300 over at Georgia Racing History.com .

Starting with the inaugural running 1983, Ronnie Sanders had tried and tried again to wear the crown in victory lane at Gresham Motorsports Park in the World Crown 300. Each year, Sanders had a strong car and was in the running, but something seemed to happen each time.

But in 2005, everything fell into place and Sanders finally could claim the title of "King of the Short Tracks". We take a look at Ronnie Sanders win in the World Crown this week over at Georgia Racing History.com .

And don't forget the 28th annual World Crown 300 is this weekend, with events taking place all though the weekend at Gresham Motorsports Park in Jefferson, Georgia. Visit www.greshammotorsportspark.com for more info.
