Hi folks, I hope everyone is ready for Christmas.

This week, take a look at one of Northeast Georgia's top wheelmen over at Georgia Racing History.com .

Charlie Barrett fell in love with racing at the age of 12 after seeing his first race at the old Gainesville (Looper) Speedway. When he finally got the chance to go racing, he would become one of the fastest Ford drivers in the southeast, making it all the way to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in the early 70s driving for Georgia Racing Hall of Famer George Elliott.

This week, Mike Bell tells us Charlie's story over at Georgia Racing History.com .

Happy Birthday wishes go out this week on Dec. 24 to David Ragan, on Dec. 27 to Gordon Pirkle and on Dec. 28 to Georgia Racing Hall of Fame member Jack Jackson.

Thanks everybody, and have a very merry Christmas!
