This week, unveil our annual most historic story of the past year over at Georgia Racing History.com.
Each year, Georgia Racing History polls various members of the motorsports media and racing aficionados for their take on the top historic Georgia racing moment of 2011.
The votes are in, and our panel has chosen Bubba Pollard's stellar 2011 Late Model season, wherein he scored 19 wins in 43 starts during the year. You can read our panel's thoughts, along with those of Pollard, as well as see some of the other choices for top story of the year and predictions for 2012. You can see all this over at Georgia Racing History.com .
In other news, the Pro Late Model season gets underway in Georgia this weekend, as Lanier National Speedway in Braselton, GA hosts the 5th annual Ice Cold Shriners Bowl. Among those expected to take part are Bubba Pollard, Spencer Davis and Russell Fleeman. NASCAR driver David Ragan will also be in attendance, signing autographs and visiting with the fans on Sunday.
