With action on the horizon for race fans at Daytona Beach with NASCAR getting read for the Daytona 500, we thought it would be a good time to remember a Georgia family that wrote a lot of history in Daytona's sands over at Georgia Racing History.com .

The Fabulous Flock Brothers, Tim, Bob and Fonty, were favorites to win wherever they unloaded to race. But when it came to the sands of Daytona, the Flocks always seemed to have something special. All three brother saw victories on Daytona Beach, as well as heartache. We take a look at the history of the Fabulous Flocks at Daytona this week over at Georgia Racing History.com .

In other news, we're now just a little over a week away from the 23rd annual Peach Bowl Speedway Reunion, which is slated for Jan. 29 at the American Legion in Austell, GA. It's always one of the top racing reunions of the year, and it's one you don't want to miss! Susan Morgan has been working hard on the event, and you can email her for more info at samorgan5@comcast.net, or you can visit Raceweek Illustrated and click the link on the right.

The sixth annual Legends Helping Legends event will be held on Saturday, Feb. 4 from 10am-2pm at Memory Lane Museum in Mooresville, NC. The event will be held in honor of the racing Flock family. For more info, click here .

Happy Birthday wishes go out this week on Jan. 20 in memory of Fireball Roberts (1929-1964) and on Jan. 25 to Buddy Baker, J.B. Day and Joel Davis.

Thanks everybody, and have a great weekend!
