Hi folks, has everybody gotten dug out from this week's snowy weather?

Speaking of which, this week we take a look at a good way to spend your time during the thaw over at Georgia Racing History.com .

Over the years, several books have been written about the sport of automobile racing. Some were good. Many were bad.

But this week, I make a few recommendations on reading materials for you in a column, including books on the history of the sport and some of it's legends that are 'must haves' for any true racing fan.

Want to know what they are? Go have a look over at Georgia Racing History.com .

Don't forget, the 22nd annual Jack Jackson Peach Bowl Reunion is coming up on January 30th at the American Legion in Austell, Georgia. If you're a former Peach Bowl competitor, official, fan or just a fan of racing, come on out and take part in this great annual gathering! Cost to attend is $15. For more information, contact Susan Morgan at 770-942-6380, 404-530-7385 or via email at smorgan5@comcast.net.

Happy Birthday wishes go out this week on Jan. 16 to "SuperTex" A.J. Foyt, and on Jan. 20 in memory of Glenn "Fireball" Roberts (1929-1964).

Thanks everybody, have a great (and hopefully warm) weekend!
