Wanted to share my latest addition to my personal racing museum, this awesome model by the great Bill Rankin.  It's Mr. The King's 1959 Plymouth, as raced in that year's Southern 500.  Richard finished fourth with an assist from Marvin Panch, and led the first seven laps of his Grand National career.

I've always referred to this as the "Ski-King" Plymouth, as those words are painted above the No. 43 on the door.  Does anybody have any idea what the story is behind that?  I've never found an explanation, and would love to know.
