Jeff Spraker, President, Spraker Racing, has finished the re-creation of the tribute 1966 Chevelle that was a local dirt track legend, built by Don Duncan of Monroe, NC, and driven to several track championships and numerous wins by Dub Simpson in 1966 and Larry Wallace in 1967.The car is intended to be driven by Mr. Simpson in local car shows and parades to benefit various charitable causes.

Mr. Dub Simpson stated that Don Duncan, who passed away in February, 2007, was a master at building and setting up a car to run the dirt bullrings around the Carolinas. The late Mr. Duncan explained to me over dinner in 2006 that it was not uncommon to win three races in one weekend, the Friday night race at Starlite Speedway, the Saturday night race at Concord and the Sunday afternoon race at Carolina Speedway. I was very fortunate to have known Don and just as fortunate to have both Dub and Larry as friends...

This car will be at Rockingham for the Polar Bear 150 as a vintage car and will be on display from around 9:00 or 10:00 through the rest of the event...
