OK, I know many of you out there will reply with much ridicule, but I'm gonna go ahead and say it, I HATE BRISTOL!!! I have to admit the racing is getting better since the track was redone, but I still don't like it. Of all the track the series visits, what tracks do you dislike the most? Go ahead and include your favorites as well. My favorite is Richmond.Bumpertag in S. Carolina

I agree, Darlington, Rockingham, Charlotte and N. Wilksboro all use to be what I liked. After the change at Richmond, that has been my favorite.

least favorite is Pocono,to long and drawn out --- top favorite is Atlanta, not to long with good turns and action-action-action.--- got to run there a few times and it was a forgiving track if you didnt muck up to bad

I hate the "cookie-cutter" tracks like Kansas and California, and I'll dislike Daytona and Talladega until they figure a way to break up the packs. 5 or 10 cars dueling hard I can get into, but having 30 cars all together with no concern for relative driver skill is asking for trouble, and we tend to get that trouble.I'd have to say Darlington and Charlotte ( I still refuse to call it "Lowes") are my favs.

Michigan, California, Phoenix, Kansas, New Hampshire, Pocono, Homestead, Sonoma, Chicago, Atlanta, Texas, new Bristol. Thats alot of napping going in the chair on Saturday nights or Sundays. Now my favorites are Martinsville not just for Cup racing but for LMS or Busch back when they raced there (absolutely refuse to call it Nationwide) and Modified racing, Darlington, old Bristol when it was pavement, Charlotte, Rockingham, North Wilkesboro and Richmond. Daytona and Talladega were great now all I think about races there is they race for first 10 laps and last 10 laps and the rest is boring.

Darlington was always my favorite, even though I watched only on TV. Watching it in person had to be special. Michigan was another favorite in the late 60's,70's and into the mid 80's, the cars would go 3,4 or 5 wide to take the white flag, then whoever came out of turn 2 without a scratch would take the checkers. In the later years it's become a fuel mileage track and that's the worse kind of racing besides one groove tracks. I hate California, Chicago, Talledaga, and Phoenix.Nascar really needs Darlington and Wilkesboro backPete

My least favorite track in my day was Talladega. Someone would be seriously injured or die either before during or following the race. We lost alot of good talent at that racetrack. My favorite tracks were Charlotte,Bristol and the Rock.

I have a hard time understanding how anyone could love Talladega or Daytona. The racing sucks and there is no room to pass. I prefer tracks where the speed can reach 160+ but the drivers have to dive into the corners and use the brakes to set the car, then back to the floor. Charlotte and Atlanta come to mind and also Rockingham. If there was anything around Rockingham it would still be on the circuit. Nothing but sand and pine trees out there.

Just think Mike, if it wasnt for those people in Hillsborough that thought racing brought the wrong people in, we would most likely still have those people. Those who dont know this story, Talladega took away Occoneechee/ Orange Speeway's date away in 1969. Thought it wasnt Talladegas fault. Bill France Sr. was going to build a superspeedway in Hillsborough, not 2.66 miles though more like a 1.5 mile track. But Big Bill got tired of haggling with the people there and so he left and went to Alabama. But I look at it this way also, if that didnt happen we wouldnt have the Historic Speedway Group and the Old Timers Racing Club wouldnt be coming and taking laps around the dirt oval. To tell you the truth coming from a 34 year old man, I love having those guys take those laps and seeing their smiles and I really enjoy being in HSG. These past few years has been some of my best thanks to Occoneechee/Orange Speedway.
