Next time The Legend is in Charlotte to visit the NASCAR Hall, attend a race, or whatever, I have found the perfect establishment where he may have a suit custom made!!

I saw an ad for that place the other night and I thought I just had to rib Tim about it. And then I thought of him again awhile ago taking his grandsons to the Charlotte race last year when my younger daughter called this morning and told me she was taking her son (my oldest grandson who went to Occoneechee with me in November) to the Saturday Nationwide race at Charlotte.

I want Tim to surface, too. And, I'm with you about not trading the hat and boots for a DW suit!

You must be getting your information from Perry Allen Wood or Lou Parris in Spartanburg.

Dave, I sincerely appreciate you watching out of my appearence in public and I do realize that there are times when more than the cowboy hat and boots are required for proper dress. I was tipped off about DW Clothiers when I was in Mooresville so I stopped off on the way home from the North Carolina Auto Racing Hall of Fame to order some custom suits for future appearences. I ordered an electric blue one, a banana yellow one, a lavender one (same color as the Ford Fireball won the '63 Southern 500), and a white one. They are to be ready in two weeks. Oh, and the car parked beside me at the NC Auto Racing Hall of Fame had a license plate "DW-1". When I saw that I immediately went back inside to find him but there was no D.W. in there. Either that or he was hiding.

So, Dave, I do so appreicate that you care enough about my appearence to offer helpful suggestions. I can only guess that you fear being embarrassed my me if you and I are seen together at the event in Hillsborough later this year. I promise not to embarrass you. You can pretend you don't know me.

Have a good, safe weekend, and "Boogity, boogity, boogity".

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.

Wow... can't wait to see the Legend's new duds!

Is it true that Gillette is considering reprising its 1950s ad campaign "LOOK SHARP, BE SHARP" for the Legend's first appearance in head to toe electric blue??!!

How are ya fixed for blades?

Do we know if Legend had a Petty Blue/STP Red leisure suit in the 70s? Just wondering.

I can vaguely remember him wearing something that was vibrant with color in the early 70's. His designer sunglasses and personal "Do" he sported were sporty to say the least.

You see both of us were kinda into the Elvis look if you know what I mean. But wait Dave you were a rounder back then Too. Seems to me you were a want to be seen man about town back then too. Better hush right here
