I just watched the Carolina Moonshine video......I'm pretty sure that everyone here knows Junior Johnson's history, but seeing that white #3 '63 Chevy at the end of the video sure brought back some memories for me. I watched Junior win a race in Atlanta (don't remember whether it was spring or fall) in that car in '63. Being a Chevy fan at that time, it was pretty sweet to see that since Chevys had not been faring too well up to that point.........the '62, '63, '64 Fords (especially those from Holman-Moody) had been doing much better. Ford was putting out some great race cars in those days. I believe that Chevy may be the one which D.W. refers to as having had the "mystery" engine in it.

To me the cool but very short clips of the old cars racing was a true delight and only whets ones thirst for the whole thing--oh yeah did you hear the coupe when it pulled up,the distinctive rap of the motor? Now that makes the hair stand on end hearing that. Jr looked as though he was actually enjoying being there too.As far as those "mystery" engines go we better leave that for another topic because it is a deep subject with a lot of character. This movie will indeed create many many more ------------------memories

I first watched the video about a week ago. My 2 year old was sitting next to me, and now every time he notices me here at Racers Reunion, he insists I play Carolina Moonshine. He gets up and dances around the room, trying to sing. HAHA, I love this song, and the history behind it!
