Late Model Sportsman records?

I keep thinking that there's a group or club on this website that discusses NASCAR Late Model Sportsman races of the late 70's and early '80s, but I can't find it, even though I've searched quite a bit for it. I was trying tofindmore completeSportsman records/results from that time and that has proven to be a very difficult task. If anyone is interested, I can help do some research in old newspapers and stuff from time to time to see what information (if any) I can locate.

Jack's site covers the early years...mostly 60s and back. A great resource for those years.

We have several folks here who have an interest, but we haven't been able to keep the interet front and center.

Not sure I'd have the time on my hands to maintain a club page; maybe I could add the records to the SportsmanRecordsRetrieval page as I find them. I've found some partial results of Sportsman races from '76-'80 already using Google newspaper archives

Jason - Do a search here on RacersReunion for "race results". Also check my website (Carolina Race Place), where I have even more results posted up to the mid 70's. If your listening to "Racing Through History" tonight we may do some more results tonight if we have time. - Jack
