Thats the way the cars will qualify at the road courses ---in bunches --and maybe all the tracks in the future...----Everybody wanted change,--well you getting it,even in racing . It may even make things a little interesting (for a few anyway)... Now on dirt it could be fun,yup real good fun.

Johnny, I have already written the Legendtorial for tonight and will mention this issue there, although not to the extent it should be discussed. F-1 qualifies like this, I understand, and from the article I read, NASCAR thinks it takes too long for one car at a time to run a qualifying lap on a road course. I'm sure this is in tune with television alloted time for qualifying. I think that really increases the chances of crashing out the primary car when all the drivers are trying to run their fastest laps in a pack. I've heard starting positions on a road course are more critical than other tracks and I can see that because of the difficulty to pass.

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.

Basically the same as F-1 (European Style). They have already tried in some support divisions and other sanctioning bodies have been doing it for years. NASCAR's just spinning it as "new". Image is everything you know!

I was also thinking they had done this in the Nationwide Series previously.

my sons race go karts and they qualify 5 karts at the time often a slower driver holds up faster karts than he is and it messes up that drivers lap it will probably do the same in cup group qualifying
