From driving race cars that is.
Over the past 45 days, I have found myself in two races cars from which I was very fortunate to extract myself and it was only through the assistance of others I was able to get through the window anyway to get out. Age has not only been a disaster in my metabolism function but also in my agility to step in and out of a race car. But I guess the crowning moment for me was driving the number 43 Plymouth Mike Sykes so graciously brought to Columbia for the Festival and cutting down the right rear tire on the back straight at Columbia Speedway. I don't handle destroying other people's property very well so with overall consideration of the two exiting the cars episodes and the tire debacle, I have driven my last race car.
However, be forewarned that my retirement from behind the wheel only frees me up to spend MORE time TALKING, and, as Dargan Watts pointed out recently, posing for pictures and talking to people. After all, I have always been a much better talker than a race driver anyway!

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.
