Well now he has 6 championships, one more and he will tie Richard and Dale. And he announced that he wants 8 championships. I guess if he continues at this rate and the halo stays put he just might make it.

WAY TO GO JIMMIE

I agree Johnny, he may just make it. In fact, I would say the odds are pretty much in his favor of making it 8, maybe even 9.

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.

He certainly has the time and talent to reach 8 if things fall his way. He may be "boring" - but, he's darned good.

I read this morning where The King said that 10 Championships are not out of the question for JJ and I think he is right. Notwithstanding the Chase or whatever you want to use as an excuse for JJ's success, the fact remains that he is a great driver if not overly blessed with personality. The hype has already started in all the press that he is, or will be the greatest ever. I'm not getting into that debate. I truly think I am past the stages of comparisons in things like that. In my mind's eye, something, or someone, is either good or bad. I found much more happiness in my personal life when I stopped comparing myself with others. I am who I am and I am satisfied with that. For me it's simple. Congratulations Jimmie, Chad, and Rick and all the others who contributed to that Championship.

In my relative way of thinking, this is just another year we didn't have the send The Cup to Japan. For me, that is a huge plus. Hope it never goes there.

Will, with the advantage I have by being able to know you and so many others so deeply involved in the sport I should be getting smarter as time goes on. I know it is difficult for many to believe, but I spend more time listening than talking when I'm around you guys. It's great having you as a part of RacersReunion and I appreciate the kind words from you, whether intended or not!!!!!! lol Take care, my friend.

Tim,That was a compliment, and when reading that post of yours, I was reminded of when my Dad was alive, and I was growing up. He was smart all along, it just took my growing up to recognize it.

Have a great day.

Will, I recognized it as a compliment and I thank you for it. One great thing about getting to meet you in person is that I found how awesome you really are.

If you listen to John Boy and Billy you would have heard Hermie Saddler bring up the issue of that so called sports announcer denounce JimmIE as an athlete. Hermie and the cast told off the big bloke who claims to be an expert on racing. I laughed at the bunch because on the show are Nascar fans and after the show I think Fax lost a few points and probably a bunch of fans. Now I would like to hear how ole Boogity Boogity describes this ...

All race fans might enjoy watching a few clips of fat boy Donovan ("Drivers Aren't Athletes") McNabb in one of his more athletic performances:
