The man who developed and perfected fuel injection for about every type hot rod and race vehicle on plant earth,Stu Hilborn,passed away today ,Monday Dec.16th.He was 96 and his
last name ,Hilborn will forever be linked to the sport of racing.Our thoughts and prayers go
out to his family.May he rest in Peace.

Oh, how I loved seeing those modifieds in the 60s with the Hilborn injection and a trail of blue flame out of each exhaust.

Some of my favorite memories as a young'un were of watching a Hilborn injected coupe at Bowman Gray coming off the turns , half sidways and carrying the left front.......ahhhhhhhhhhhh beautiful !
