Grand American race #6 of 1970 was held at Augusta Raceway a 1/2 mile paved oval. Tiny Lund started on the pole with a record run of 21.02 seconds (85.633 MPH) and went on to win his fifth race in a row in a Ronnie Hopkins prepared Camaro. Lund garnered $1,000 of the $6,985 purse.

15 of the 23 starters were running at the finish.
