NASCAR rules change for Toyota Motors

Toyota motors were produced to NASCAR specifications. Now NASCAR opts to change them to satisfy the chevy/ford whinners. Changing horses in the middle of the stream is NOT good for the Nationwide Series. For example, Kyle Busch has won driving for 7 different owners. Let's see what Clint Bowyer is doing, pass the kleenex please. It's just too much, poor guy.JGR has an awesome stable of drivers. That's what makes the difference. Give those guys to Jack Rousch or Ray Everham and you'd see them in victory lane. But dock Toyota 12-20 HP and watch what they do. You may not see them in races at all next year. Times are tough for all the teams. Can NASCAR afford to squeeze the financial clout of Toyota to appease winner wannabes? I think not. I think it's a big mistake. What will Mr. B et al have to say if Toyota keeps winning in spite of the new rule? Then what Mr. Childress?Don't get me wrong, I love Richard Childress. When I see that 29 car I see a 3 underneath the new paint. But this rule change is not good for our sport that we all love so much. It sets a dangerous precident.EdwinSun City, Az

Thanks for the notes guys. Great comments. Kyle Busch has had trash cars to start some of the races he's won. Yet during the race, they figure it out and he ends up in the front or winning. He evidently has got a good communication factor going on with crew chiefs.Although I think Carl Edwards had the better car last night, he had too much of a deficit to overcome Kyle. But leading all but 3 laps is pretty impressive, even with a new restrictor plate installed. If anyone takes this lightly, just ask all those guys that finished behind him how difficult it is to pull off what Kyle, JGR and company have accomplished. I think it is exactly as you say, Robbie. They've got the cups and the nationwides figured out just bit better than others do.I've learned one thing following nascar, you don't can any ground being a whinner. Ask Jeff Gordon. Ask Rusty Wallace and others. Whines turn into boos at the race track. Of course winning all the time can achieve the same results. But then that is a delima you can easily live with.Great racing,Edwin
