I saw this book, and even though it is a bit pricy, It looks to be a good book, and in every book, it has sleeves on almost every page of reproduction artifacts like a 1948 Beach Race Poster, a 1974 Nascar DriverLicence, a program from the first Daytona 500, and a presscredential from the first Brickyard 400. It has many, many more items and information too.

The site calls it a "Time Capsule of Nascar"

I agree with your observations regarding Deb Williams. She has been a friend for many years and I respect her as a journalist. Visually a very good book..Nice look back at history. With that said, i will point out that this book, along with the others in the series make me slightly nervous. Unfortunately there have been MANY attempts by unscrupulous people to pass these "reproductions" off as originals and sell them on ebay and other sites. They didn't make the reproduction aspect as apparent or obvious on the artifacts as they should have...As someone who collects real vintage memorabilia this book and the prior one are good references for spotting fakes....trust me, they will show up. So, if nothing else, at least flip through the book at your local bookstore so you will know when such items show up in the market place.

Thank You so much for your kind words! In regards to Don's comment about "repo's" Yes, there are sick-minded people who try to make a quick dollar off of something that they claim to be the real deal. However, I think it's a great idea to include those sort of items in the books to show fans. When I got Dale the Movie DVD set a few years ago for Christmas, it included a 1998 Daytona 500 ticket from that historical race. Of course it was a repo, but you'd pay so much more if it was the real thing. I just think it's a great thing to do!
