A meeting was held tonight (January 12) concerning scheduling of the Fourth Annual Love Chevrolet Racers Reunion at The Historic Columbia Speedway in Cayce, South Carolina. Most of you are familiar with the history involved with the Speedway which includes, among other notables, the very first race driven by Richard Petty AND the very first win by Richard Petty in July, 1959. Many other historic events occurred at the half-mile facility that operated through the mid seventies. Mark your calendars NOW for Friday, April 6th and Saturday, April 7th. Tonight was just the preliminary meeting and there is much more to come.
