For the first time in history, rain has forced NASCAR to postpone the Daytona 500 race at Daytona International Speedway to noon ET Monday. Television coverage will be on FOX. NASCAR.COM will provide lap-by-lap coverage . Just think you can STILL hear ole DW whine and croon on the Daytona 500----unless it rains it out------AGAIN for the first time

The "vortex" didn't work today and with TWO Waltrip mouths in the Hollywood Hotel I am amazed. I heard a little while ago that if it rains tomorrow in Daytona, and I'm told there is a 70% chance, the 500 will go on Easter. That is the last bastion of traditional decency in NASCAR out the window in my opinion.

thought it took the cars going round n round to create a vortex mikey an dw were inside and danica was steaming up the pits probably had a fog alert there ---thats the cause for the delay
