After Sundays race who is number one in ranking? casey won and that makes him have the eighth top five finish but doesnt put him on the top of the ranking board .. Would you believe Jr moves back up to the top on the ranking board again. In his last eight races, Junior has finished eighth or better six times. He is a legitimate title contender this time around. But I know someone has other thoughts about this, right??

Ma will probably say aint he cute

Well, golly gee... I thought the golden rule was he who has the gold rules. Ole Jr. better get to #1 by the points banquet. What does that power ranking and a dollar get you? A cup of cheap coffee?

But, thanks for setting me straight.

Mama has been rapping my knuckles 'cause I can't read red and now I'm not up to date on the power rankings. There was a time when I thought I knew something about racing, but that was back in the days of "Race to win."

I have to agree with this comment I saw posted in response to Tom Jensen's article on the updated "Power Rankings."

PorscheGoesFast

Is this just something Speed does to fill space, because it is just more "soap" for the opera. LOL so hard to make Laughcar seem exciting.

Reminds me of all those folks who weren't satisfied with the million stats kept in baseball by the Elias Bureau. If their guy wasn't at the top of the B.A., they had to invent all kinds of goofy stats that meant absolutely nothing.

When they cut the checks, Mr. Jensen and SPEED and FOX better take a look at the points standings and forget their contrived power ranking, unless they're peddling power to the people.

Remember what Rev. Stagger says. Sometimes that Lemon Meringue pie turns out to be brie! Or, pot pie ifn you're Tony the Pony!

Now where in the dickens did this come from ... It isnt listed in the breakroom at the track or even the one that says men---must have come out of the one that says ladies.

it even has kurt and montoya side by side by side--wonder where they got those driver ratings numbers from??? anyway

I shall reiterate, there is only one standings that pays.

Heck, under all these rankings, we coulda had Dale, Jr. winning races, even though he wasn't first to the checkered flag.

From what you say, PK, there are actually people who pay attention to this tripe?

Dave you check in up there at the Whiskey River Saloon in Charlotte and I will check down here at Daytona Whiskey River to see if we can get some reinforcements out of the Ladies in case this paddling gets carried away. I mean we may need a little pampering after she employs her technique of employment she describes. And she has Carol as backup now so we gotta get up on our toes ..

First of all, if we leave it up to SPEED, to produce the power ratings, the outcome would be:

#1 Jr

#2 Carl Edwards

#3 Trevor B

#4 Tony

#5 Kyle B.

#6 Did we list fellow SPEED guy Carl Edwards.

#7 JJ

#8 Kurt B.

#9 Is Carl on the list yet?

#10 JR.

#33 Matt Who?

This has been old news for Matt and his family for years. He is as quite today as he was years ago at the Jefferson Speedway.

Matt has always let his deeds speak for him.
