Old Fashioned - Hamlin / Girlfriend / Baby

One of my grandsons and I both pull for the driver from my hometown who has been stellar at Pocono. However, I didn't care for the quote I read today. I guess it is a different time and place.

Never thought I'd be called old fashioned, but I guess I have gotten that way.

Hamlin expecting 1st child with girlfriend

LONG POND, Pa. (AP) -- NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin and his girlfriend are expecting their first child.

Hamlin made the announcement Friday at Pocono Raceway. The baby is due in January.

Hamlin says marriage is not in the immediate plans. He says, "there's no reason to rush into it."

I, too, was left scratching my head over the statement.

Not immediate BUT before January thats for sure---Hey wait a minute,where have I heard this before.. Didnt Brad say that to Anjolina or what ever her name is. Does this belong in Silly season??.. Have to wait till Tuesday and get Rev Staggers official word on this

The least Denny could do is slip off at Darlington, marry her, get her a hamburger "weddin supper", and drop her back by the house. (Pick it up at 1:50 mark.)

Maybe you know it and maybe you dont but Richard said one Sentence in the Video that tells it all to the sport------------------------ He said when you give the autograph to the fans it is a thank you to them for coming, Without the fans we would have nothing.

If track promoters would think without the fans you wouldnt have no sponsors or no cars or drivers.

I hate tosay it, but I live in Chesterfield County and can not pull for Denny Hamlin. I've just heard too much about his character around here and this situation just backs it up. Iguess I'm too old to understand todays thinking, but just go ahead and marry the girl. I'm sure Mr. Gibbs and Fedex will love this publicity.

Has DH given any thought to his child being called the "B" word or does that apply now. Also, wouldn't this be a detriment to NASCAR, so is there a penalty coming from Brian?
