After Sat nite and the finish of Toyota,Toyota,Chevy,Toyota we need those consistent running motors to offset the across the water brand. Those Gibbs cars were flying tonite and will probably continue to run good unless a new player comes in to the picture.

Over all it was a great race, kinda like something you would have seen 10,20 or 30 years ago. Or did someone see it differently??

A birdie in my ear tweeted an existing car owner and another midwestern newcomer might grant you the manufacturer diversity you seek.

Chase, I wish that little Birdie would talk to me. I want my Dodges back. I want someone to kick Toyota butt. I don't like the brand. Sorry, but it's a personal thing with me.

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.

I must say that Matt Kenseth's star has risen from the outhouse to the penthouse since he abandonned Roush/Dearborn for Gibbs/TRD. I thought the talking Waltrips made a lot more of the late race Kyle Busch / Kasey Kahne "incident" than I saw during the multiple replays. Looked like plain old fashioned hard late stage Darlington racing to me.

Every time I think it can't be possible to go so far into a Southern 500 without a caution - like last night's "Monsieur Debris" caution, I am reminded of the now almost unbelieveble 1963 caution-free "real" hot September Labor Day afternoon race won by Fireball.

I must say the Gen6 cars sure seemed nimble at Darlington running amazing speeds.
