Ok this has been bugging me for a while and I need to get some opinions on this topic
NASCAR's crappy Chase for the Sprint Cup system!
NASCAR complains and whines because sponsors are not willing to put out 20
million dollars anymore to sponsor a team who is not a Hendrick, Roush, or Childress
operation because they get little TV time to promote the sponsors they have. Well,
NASCAR screwed themselves in this regard because of the stupid Chase sytem, all
they do is focus on the 12 guys in the championship and disregard the other 31 competitors
in the field. Why. if I owned a company, put out that much money to get little coverage and
exposure. NASCAR needs to drop the chase and go back to covering every points battle and
battle on the racetrack. I enjoyed hearing about teams who got momentum in the final 1/3
of the season and jumped from 15th in points to like 7th because they got more consistent.
Also, hearing about the battle for top 10 inpoints was fun because guys raced their wayonto
the stage at the awards ceremony at race 36, not have their season be worth nothing after Richmond. Another good battle to cover were guys who raced for 25th in points to goafter NASCAR's extra bonus money for beingin the top 25 in points. Go back to showing more
of these smaller teams more often, which can helpthe Cup Seriesgrandstands andrace cars might not look like ghost towns because theyare bare. NASCAR WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE,YOU ARELETTING MONEY TALK ANDDIE HARD FANS WALK!!!!!Oh and BRIAN FRANCE, if I was BIG BILL FRANCE SRand I saw what you have done to this sport,I WOULD DISOWN YOU!!!!!!
