Needed This Back in the Day When I Camped at the Track

Remember when you camped at the track and ran out of something important... like hamburger buns? Not a worry at the Richmond track. This year they have a portable Kroger grocery on the premises and you can even order ahead. That's a pretty neat fan friendly deal.

That is amazing! Talk about a marketing bonanza! Wish we had one of those back when we were camping in the infields all over. We usually had everything we needed as we always overstocked, but there were those times.

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.

Billy Biscoe's cherry pie. :) Okay, let's see....pork and beans, sardines...or tripe. Boiled peanuts are frowned on....had no idea. In my younger years boiledpeanuts were the rage at the track.

Am I close?

Ok you are making the audience hungry how about sardines and saltine crackers ---- or --- Vienna Sausage many a meal was made off a hot can (one that was left on the dash) and a loaf of bread that was getting kinda hard .. yup I remember those days. We even had a thanksgiving Dinner on the trailer after the race thanks to a great cook by the name of Marilyn Clinard. ----------------------------------------------- memories

we need to get Tommie Clinard to elaborate on this. I will see if he is up to the task yet. The heat at MGR took its toll on him Sat

Indeed. It would be nice tohave him elaborate.

Yes, he mentioned it in chat Tuesday night during "Thee Goat Rodeo" show. I hope he is feeling better. Said it was awful humid. Might be a good idea to have some portacool machines/or a cooling station at the event next year.

Did you see the video posted about the event? I think it was about 6 minutes long?
