I've got that DVD series & its a real keeper. I often wonder who'll be willing to gather 25-30 years from now to tell funny stories from today's era.
That was funny now Buddy is a real TV broudcaster hes good i could leson to him all day
That was VERY COOL, thanks for posting. That was my generation of involvement, It was terrific to see all those fellows in one place and hear Buddy talk again.
Thanks for posting. That will make my day(s) for awhile.
I have a one hour recap of that meeting. Wish the whole thing was available for sale on DVD. Hilarious story that one by Buddy.
I just remembered that back in 2008, SPEED had actually started a show called The Humpy Show where Humpy and his guests would talk about memorable stories from the old days. Unfortunately after the very first (and very entertaining) episode where Buddy Baker and Kurt Busch were guests, the show was cancelled.
It is Sandeep. I bought mine on eBay on VHS several years ago, but there is someone offering them on DVD.
Of course...I just took my VHS copies and transferred them to DVD. And I sell them cheaper than that site too
A production company in Nashville put it together. They put together similar DVD packages of for other sports reunions such as college football for programs like Tennessee, Alabama, Oklahoma, etc. Sadly, I don't think they are in business anymore. However, the discs likely live on through re-selling. Keep your eyes open on ebay, Amazon, etc.
What might be really cool is if the fine folks here at Racers Reunion could wrangle the rights to stream excerpts to RR members. Hint, hint. No idea how to go about doing it - but if the company is defunct, it probably wouldn't take that much effort or cost.
Thanks Jay! Although $50 is almost double my limit of what I would pay for a DVD, this one is certainly special and I'm going to consider it. I'll also look for it on EBay and perhaps get lucky with a bargain.
Nashville's NASCAR Cafe was housed in the original Service Merchandise department store. That company was founded in Nashville. Before they went under, they were an associate sponsor on Bill Elliott's McDonald's car. I was there for grand opening night of the Cafe. Somewhere I've got a photo or two of Eli doing his MC work.
Seen this Legends Roundtable on TV a few years ago. It was great, I laughed so hard. The best stories was this one from Buddy and Cale and Jr talk about Jr getting out of a crashed plane. So funny to hear them go at each other. Thanks for posting.
