Time to move on

I just wanted to put to rest all of the rumers that are going around about my racing. As of January of this year I am no longer with the East Coast Flatheads. My dad and I resigned from the club along with other members. This does not mean I won't be racing this year! My dad and I have plans that I will be giving details on at a later time. It was just time for us to move on. Vintage racing should be about having fun and fellowship and getting out to the public (especially the younger fans) what racing was back in the day. It should not be about who can spend the most money and at the end of the year who has the most trophies. Yes we all want to win and we strive to do just that, but within the rules and within a budget. I had the most fun last year racing with the Cape Fear boys at Dublin, NC when the only thing that was on the line was just making sure that we had a good time. (thank you Bobby Williamson). Anyway, if this makes me sound like a crybaby for not winning, then let it be so, but my family and friends mean more to me that a $12.00 trophy. My dad and I and other flathead drivers do have future plans andI will post them ASAP. You cant keep this old girl down so don't even try! Bobby Williamson dubed me the "First Lady of Vintage Racing" so I have a reputation to uphold!

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.

Ronda, please know that you're always welcome to race with us. We'd be honored. We are racing once a month at the ultra smooth Carolina Speedway in Lakeview, SC. Kenneth McGee, from your neighborhood, is already one of our "regulars", and you could caravan together. Also, we already have a commitment from a flathead racer (Ronnie Hockaday and his immaculate '37 coupe) so you can have your own division! Give it some thought. The welcome mat is out, and always will be, for the First Lady of Vintage Racing.
