Low Life Taking Advantage of Sam Ard

I got a message from Sam Ard's nurse and good friend Jan about a low life who wants to profit off of Sam's medical condition:

Recently Jo had Sam sign some cards for a man who had mailed them to her stating that he only wanted it for his son's collection. Jo even sent him a patchl. This man paid her absolutely nothing. Now he has shown his appreciation by listing it for 25.00 or best offer on E-bay. Sam is not even in the photo. Because ...of this fraud Jo has requested that no signatures will be given except through me.

I'mtrying to get a name of the seller so I can report him to E-Bay. All of us are very aware of Sam's condition and genuinely feel for him. But for somebody to resort to something like this to make a fast buck off of Sam's name and condition really shows how low some people will sink.

I wonder if this falls into the realm of consumer fraud to where the Feds would get involved as it is probably being sold across state lines?

It was given under false pretenses by the person who sent it claiming it was for his son. If you look at the picture of the card and the description of it, the picture doesn't show Sam or his car. It's a picture from 1963 showing Junior Johnson's car and some others lined up before a race.

Here is the link to the auction. I see he is doing this to a lot of past drivers. I see nothing wrong with selling items from a collection but to purposely send items to get signed only to resell them is downright wrong. Sam Ard MoR Autographed Card

Theres greedy fans with no respect and consideration. I am reminded of one story.

I would go to NASCAR testing up at Daytona to get pictures and autographs. The one thing that upset me the most was this lady would come with her kids and use them to get autographs destined for ebay. Every year. I would run into the same people from last year and go, "oh no not her again." She would use her kids and their friends to get autographs. She would come with a samsonite bag full of diecasts for certain drivers to sign so she could sell it on ebay. I watched as she passed these diecasts up front for her kids to have them signed. She moved fast and would get irritated if other people got stuff signed. She yelled at me when I put my flag up front near her kids so Elliott could sign. She would yell at people. Just very rude. I watched as one by one she had Elliott sign 10 cars. She was taking up the line around the Fanzone garage and spoiling it for people like me who came just to get one item autographed or give to friends. Its this kind of stuff that makes drivers hesitant to autograph.

This story really takes the cake. I have heard of Sam Ard and his accomplishments and for someone to make money off him is wrong. It should be the other way around. If anything someone should be helping to raise money for him and stop being inconsiderate.

Selfishness at it's ugliest. Kharma was invented just for these type people... Hope he gets a boat load!

To decieve great people like Sam and Jo Ard for profit is reprehensible. I would love to have 5 minutes with this guy, on second thought. it would not take that long to get my point across. I would crook his nose in 30 seconds flat!

This guy is not a racer or true race fan, be gone with him.
