Second Post : February 20, 2010

Our next work day will be Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 8 a.m.- 2 p.m. Our time on Saturday will be limited due to a benefit concert scheduled later that evening. We will be concentrating on the infield area. Please bring gloves, a 5 gallon bucket or a wheelbarrow. Or if you come with a chainsaw in hand, we need a few small trees cut down. You will want to speak directly with Wayne as to the exact location of these trees near the entrance of the track.

The track is located at 2001 Charleston Highway, Cayce SC 29033. If you need directions, please feel free to write me or Legend Tim.

Thank you.

First Post :

Howdy Folks! In case you missed my message earlier in the week, by way of Wayne Wilson and the Legend, I wanted to remind you that tomorrow, February 20 is the first work day. We will begin between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. You will want to bring gloves, rake and/or lopers to cut roots sticking out of the ground. If anyone has a pressure washer please bring it. We plan to wash down a metal bldg. andrefresh the outside of theTicket Office, among other cleanup activities. Thank You.

Several photos are up of today's cleanup activities, but you will not be able to see them til approved. There will be more photos posted tomorrow evening. I didn't have an opportunity to take many today as we were going nonstop. Also, had a battery failure issue. Several of us will be back out there tomorrow for 2-4 hours.A big thank you to the TSCM crew members who were able to come out today and help!

A BIG THANKS to everyone that was able to make it this weekend. We did put a dent in it. For those that could not make it this week, we will be there every Saturday, and maybe other days, when enough people are available. Thanks to everyone for the help and support at the track and in other places. A special thanks to Love Chevrolet for lunch.

Devin,You do an incredibly fine job with your photos and your running commentary on the work days at Columbia Speedway. It's easy to see your passion for the speedway project come through. You are truly a "spark plug" to keep things going out there. On behalf of one of Columbia Speedway's mosts ardent supporters, I thank you!Tim
