Dennis Williams a 64 year old Cancer survivor stood in victory lane at the RacersReunion inspired re-opened Historic Cleveland County Fairgrounds Speedway Ghost track on Friday Night. On the last couple laps the leader Marty Spittle whoownsthe track record, won the dash, the heat and was on his way to winning the feature when he was denied by Williams that had someunfinishedbusiness to deal with. Spittle stayed on the bottom behind lapped cars and allowed Williams to settle in on the top as he did a week earlier during the Vintage Championship race to steal the victory. In the RacersReunion Championship race Williams was caught up in an accident after running one of the fastest laps recorded in the race. Williams got up on the wheel and made history as he raced to the victory. Tears were flying as he stood in victory lane with his wife. The crowd went wild and showed what racing means to Cleveland County NC.Congratulationsto Dennis, his wife, and his team. Great job! W PS: here is the finishing order:

1. Dennis Williams

2. Marty Spittle

3. Ryan Howard

4. Don Smith

5. Junior Harris the guy who get's it!

6. Jonathan Sarrett

7. Jason Hamrick

The next race at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds Speedway is Friday night May 4th Please come out and and help us keep this dream alive! W

Just got off the phone with Jack Ingram and he will be working on being in Shelby to visit with the kids. We give a bike away every Friday night. The kids must get with our RacersReunion Family of legends to get a ticket to win the bike. Thanks to Jeff Gilder, The Big D, and everyone that works to makes racersreunon so special! W
