Sorry to report I got a call today from a sprint car friend of mine who told me Kramer Williamson died today from injuries received last night. I don't have any more details but will see if I can find some more information. I first saw him race his #73 car in the middle of June 1975 at The Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio. That was actually the first sprint car race I had seen. My condolences and prayers go out to his family and friends.

I started following Lincoln Speedway in Pennsylvania on Twitter several weeks ago when I was writing the blog about Lee Petty's win there in 1958. Last night, I saw a few tweets from the track's account mentioning the accident. You could read between the lines and tell it was bad. Then when they stopped with the updates, I knew it was a bad, bad deal.

R.I.P. Kramer

My prayers for the friends and family. Another racer lost to the sport. God protect all our racers, always.

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.
