Those New England Super Modifieds were some real nasty ( in a positive way ) racecars , saw them run alot at Star Speedway in Epping NH , turning laps @ 10 second range on that quarter miler !!!

That was a car built by Ken Reece in I believe 1979 and was called 3-1. It had 3 wheels on the right side and 1 wheel on the left. Richmond tested it at Sandusky Speedway and it ran good right out of the box. Tim said other than getting used to no left front wheel it felt pretty good. I 'm not sure it ran at Oswego because it was banned shortly after the test.

Thanks Craig. It was a very radical Super and one wonders "what if it wasn't banned?" There is a full newspaper article on this car on Jakessite.com under the name Ken Reece for those interested.
