Dan's was the first team I worked with. This car was built to replace the old '55 Chevy. Unfortunately, this car was totaled not too many races later. I remember many Friday and Saturday nights at Wake County and Leland, hauling with the old '60 International flatbed truck. Thanks for the post.

Yes I do. He drove Gurney Rose's 42 car. Tim had to retire because of some serious illness, but I can't remember exactly what it was. That car was always fast, whether Tim, Harold Hunter, or Gurney were driving.

Yes Tim had to stop driving because one night after a race he went home and sometime during the night he had a tumor to bust bleeding on the brain suffered a stroke he had to learn to walk eat and talk again but not much. His mama took care of him until she died and he has been in a rest home since. It would be good to see pictures of him again the way he use to be it is a shame he was so young and lost everything due to his health. Anyway Harold Hunter is my uncle he has always been good with working on race cars he still helps my husband sometimes. thanks for the email
