Nice Martinsville LMS photos, Dennis. Our Wilson, NC dirt track champion, J.E. Beard finished 3rd that day, behind winner Sam Ard and 2nd place Sonny Hutchins, both on lead lap. J.E. later went to work for Jack Tant as an engine builder, then to Lake Speed's shop building his Cup engines.
