Doug, it was cars like this that peaked my interest in drag racing as a teen. Chevairs were based out of the Lansing area and I grew up about 20 miles to the west. I always would read about the Nationals and look to see who from Michigan won class. It was impresive to always see that the Chevairs would win so many classes. It wasn't even about what brand of car they were driving , but that they were so succesful.
