BGN Race Identification Help

Stock Car Racing History

Greetings!

I started this thread a few years ago asking for help in identifying historical BGN race start times going back to 1982. I would like to see if the community is able to help me also identify CUP and TRUCK start times for races through 1997. Note that this was before the days of TV starts being advertised on NASCAR Online. If you are able to help me complete the project, I would be most thankful.

As before, I would like to see evidence of a start time from a flyer, newspaper ad, ticket stub, etc. Here are the races I am looking to identify:

BGN Race Identification Help

Wow, that's some pretty deep research. I can't thank you enough for all the help with this. My plan is to create a public, free, online database with this information so we don't lose it. Let's see if someone comes up with something, but Chris Hussey is a legitimate source.

Primary source material is excellent in this case, and eye-witness accounts are always good to have. Those are the things that allowed us to better identify photos from Airbase Speedway, for example, when they were erroneously attributed to other venues by photographic databases. Well done!

BGN Race Identification Help

Stock Car Racing History

Does anyone happen to have ideas on where I might be able to locate the start time for the last BGN race I need to identify? I signed up for access to the Charlotte Observer Archives, but was unable to locate a news story regarding this race circa 6/7/1986 at Hickory. Any advice would be helpful so I can confirm this last race. Thanks!
