A production company in Nashville put it together. They put together similar DVD packages of for other sports reunions such as college football for programs like Tennessee, Alabama, Oklahoma, etc. Sadly, I don't think they are in business anymore. However, the discs likely live on through re-selling. Keep your eyes open on ebay, Amazon, etc.

What might be really cool is if the fine folks here at Racers Reunion could wrangle the rights to stream excerpts to RR members. Hint, hint. No idea how to go about doing it - but if the company is defunct, it probably wouldn't take that much effort or cost.

I've got that DVD series & its a real keeper. I often wonder who'll be willing to gather 25-30 years from now to tell funny stories from today's era.

Somewhere in my mother's attic are all the Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars I collected as a kid. Included in the collection is this car. Amazing how far-viewing those designers were!

Request for stories and photos from Nov 23, 1980

Stock Car Racing History

Today, November 23, is the anniversary of Richard Petty's win in the 1980 Arizona NAPA 250 Winston West Series at Phoenix. Bobby Allison finished 2nd, and Kyle Petty finished 3rd.

I've got a single article about Richard's win - but that's it. Does anyone have any articles, photos, or memories from this race they could share? Thanks.

(Speaking of Winston West races and Kyle Petty, I'm also on the hunt for a photo of him from the 1979 NAPA 250 at Phoenix. He drove a #4 - likely because Jim Bown was running 42. I'd love to see a photo of KP's #4 car.)
