Hating Fans 18/48

General

Hey Everyone, I'm just going to talk about a famous topic that has been mentioned over and over. This is my opinion as to what I think is right. Don't be offended if it isn't what you think. Leave a comment at the end, if you have something to say.

NASCAR is a growing sport, and more and more drivers are trying to reach the top series. As years go by, the older Cup guys will retire, and new rookies will take their place. My sense, is you need a good few starts, to build a good reputation. Take Trevor Bayne for example, he won the Daytona 500. He got a huge amount of fans and respect for that. Either way, no matter how he does now, he'll have that respect and good reputation. Joey Logano, was expected to be the next big thing. Really? He's been in it over a year now, and has been at every single track. He hasn't won in Cup really at all. He's not top 12 in pts, or top 14. He's the next big star in Nationwide for sure, but not Cup. There is no real next big star in Cup right now. In terms of Dale Jr, he is the most popular driver. Is he the best, maybe not. He's in the top, that's for sure. What do you think? Does NASCAR favor drivers, It is quite possible. When your not allowed to go past the yellow line and JJ, JG or the 88 go under it, they aint penalized. When the 18 goes under, he's penalized. It's a mixture of thoughts, are they really favored? Do they really get away with things? When fans hate drivers, they really do. Does the 18 and 48 really deserve to be hated? NO! They did nothing wrong. Kyle may have been bad awhile back, but he's changed. He's more mature, doesn't wreck on purpose and talks to the media more when he's mad. He's a great guy and wins alot. He's one of the best drivers out there, whether you belive it or not. Kyle is in the top 3 of this time, if not the best driver of all time. It's not an opinion, that's a fact. Jimmie Johnson won 5yrs in a row, that's great not bad. He's proving to be the best driver in history. Nobody has done what he has done. He can't help that he's so good. You don't hate because the driver is good, or because they had a temper last year! That's non-sense! There's no if's you can say to this. If JJ had a different CC, no! He has Chad, and they won the cup! This is the present not the future. Until someone else has won the cup in the end, JJ is still the best.

There you have it, that's my idea on the sport so far. This was mainly about the main topics that have been debated for awhile. Got a comment you'd like to say about it. Agree? Disagree? I'd like to know what you have to think about any of this. Thanks for your time!

Mike.

ASK MORITZ1

General

Hey Everyone, welcome to my only one time segment ASK Moritz. This will only take a minute of your time. If you've seen youtube, there is many ask them question videos. There big hits, I've tried it there, and it's been a big hit. This is the same, and I expect it'll happen again. All I want you to do, is in the comment section below, post a comment of a question you want me to answer. It can be NASCAR related-like what was the first track you've been to? Who's your favorite driver and why? Why do you like NASCAR? etc. Just ask me a NASCAR question, or non-nascar question. That's all, just one quick question, and I'll choose the best ones, and make aresponse of myself answering your questions. I'll be between 2 to 3 mins long, and I'll be able to do itif I get enough questions. Thanks, and remember ASK MEA QUESTION!

Thanks,

Moritz.

NASCAR Surprises: Fans

General

Who do you think, will be one of the biggest suprisers this season? Joey Logano, Elliott Sadler? Mark Martin? Who do you think will be a threat that hasn't been before. Who do you think will be contenders, and who do you think will be the Dark Horse? To sum it up, who do you think will be a surprise this year, and who do you think won't be.

Thanks,

Mike. CC

The New Changes to NASCAR?

General

Okay, let me say I havn't been on here as much as I planned on. I do hope though, that I continue on doing these blog posts. So, I hope you enjoy them, cause they'll be a lot more coming.

When the Cup drivers raced at Indy Motor Speedway, they had the lowest crowd they had ever had. The seats usually filled around 370,000 people, where this time it was at 170,000 people filled. (rough estimate) Why would that happen? I booked my tickets for Michigan a week before the race, and I still got great seats. It wasn't even filled up. From the past till now, NASCAR races have not been having as much fans there. Let's face the fact, all sports are going down right now, including football. The economy is one of the reasons everything is dropping. NASCAR did the change from no head gear, to the helmets to the hands device. They went from the normal cars to the Spoilers and COT. They went from bad barriers, to very strong and stable barriers when you crash. So NASCAR has made many improvments, but they have to step it up again. A few days ago in the paper, (i think a few days ago, or a few weeks) all the NASCAR officials were teaming up and talking on how they can improve NASCAR. No changes have been made yet, but I assume their in process. One thing no doubt, is the pit passes and food you can get there, Plus at Michigan, you can drive your own car around the track! So there's more than one side to it. One reason is all the Paul Menard, Brian Vickers, Elliot Sadler etc..fans are all not coming out to the races, because there drivers always finish in the back, so what's the point. They need to have everybody equal to make it fair, and have more winners. That will bring up the sport more, and bring more fans to the races. Either way, it is up to NASCAR as to what will happen next. What are the changes to next year? Everybody is entiled to an opinion, and this is mine. Everybody feel free to say what you want, I look forward to hearing what you have to say.

Thanks!

Tony Stewart: Winless?

General

No.14 Tony Stewart usually starts coming alive about halfway through the season. In the summer time from May to September. This is when he starts to peak up and really puts his game face on. It's no surprise that Stewart hasn't won yet or is higher in the standings. For that time will come. Stewart is slowly gaining in the pts, finishing better in the races and having stronger performances. A few of his best tracks are coming up, which gives him an even better shot at winning and making the Chase. The race there at this weekend, Stewart has 2 wins apiece here, and the Brickyard, another good track for him. The best of Stewart is yet to come, don't count him out yet. Just make sure that you add Tony to your fantasy picks. Stewart will get a win soon, and will be in contention for the Cup!

COMMUNITY: OUR HOME

General

Well folks,This NASCAR Community is our home...it is a place where we can feel safe, loved and freedom to say whatever we want. This site is meant for everyone to enjoy, have fun and meet new friends! Isn't that sort of the point of this site? Of course, there is the fact of cheering on your favorite drivers, posting blogs on who you think will win the race, a blog on a driver, or an important event that goes on. We have chats for sure. Some are more regular than others, but they all offer fun for members to chat and get to know one another. Crews, well thoose are what WE are running. On any driver, on any event, posting a crew to support your thing is a great way to go. Buddies, well like other social networking sites, you want buddies. There's more fun with them. They'll be the first to usually comment on your profile, send you messages, read your blogs and join your crews. You don't need that many buddies.. Your profile, is also very key for many of us. You want to become popular on here, run a game, meet new people that share the same interests etc.. Putting in real, correct and a good amount of information is good to have. Let's not forget, the events posted on the main page, are usually good to attend. The official chat for weekends. Come and join everyone you don`t usually see and have a rowsing fun chat. So, why not join the Community.. There is so many fun things to do, and is a great place to hang out in. So drop by the community today, and have some fun!

Where were the fans

General

You know, I understand why that could be happening. First off, the economy has a role to do with this to. They are all over NASCAR, in all the conversations going on. It's not about the distance that is why it was empty. People travel from Ontario, Canada to N.C. to see Lowes Motor Speedway LIVE. Every race still has a lot of fans, but some sections can be closed. Also, it could be full, just everyone could be at the trailer parks or getting food when the race is running. Keep in mind, at home there's commercials, when your at the race there's none. Do you know anyone that has sat through the entire race without getting out of their seat once?
