Chick Stockwell passed away last summer and he was fondly remembered by fans of the Danbury Racearena and the S.N.Y.R.A.
Stockwell was very popular with the Southern New York Racing Association and left his legions of fans with fond memories. One such racing night is embedded in with me over 30 years later.
Here is my retelling of one night that united the speedway's grandstand to all cheer for Chick as he drove to a monumental win.
