To the people cheering Jimmie Johnson's wreck: GROW UP!!

General

Nope, none of them. If I had to pick from the 12 in the chase I'd go with Gordon or Big Bad Brad. Not my favorites but I could be happy if they run good.

My Favorites? Clint Bowyer, AJ Allmendinger and Bobby Labonte. I'm a Chevy man but getting hard for me to find a Chevy driver I like. Now Clint is going to Toyota so I guess I'll drop him from the list.

I never said I wanted any driver hurt, I don't. I said I cheered only when I was sure he was safe but out of the race. My son was beside me and he is a huge Johnson fan, and he was bothered that I cheered. He knows me. I truely hope this ends his reign for atleast 2-3 years. A different Champion will help bring some excitement back to NASCAR.

Guilty as charged. I cheered when I was sure Johnson was safe but out of the race. I don't view this as any differently than in college football, when a linebacker delivers a good "Snot Bubbler" to adarting runningback and plants him solidly to the ground. I cheer inside untill they both get up then I cheer openly. If the runningback is hurt, I don't cheer. I don't cheer because I want a driver to be hurt, nothing could be farther from the truth. I cheered when Johnson crashed for one simple reason, I'm sick of seeing him hoist the trophy. One driver winning so many championships in a row, in my opinion, is hurting the sport. The strange thing is I like Hendrick Motorsports and applaudtheir accomplishments.

I understand the ridicule aftermy post in reguards to the Dan Wheldon tragedy. I wonder myself how I can be so moved to write the Wheldon post, at yet cheer and feel no remorse for cheering when Johnson crash Saturday. I don't cheer in any tragic event, I'm not a cold hearted SOB. I find it hard to believe that no one else here has never cheered when another driversfalls out of a race.

I was there and when he hit the wall we all gasp. Then to see him regain control of his wrecked car and driver towards the pits, I have to admit I cheered. I cheered once we saw him drive awayon the incar camera and felt he was fine, I cheered. Johnson and team have proved over and over just how good they are but I cheered because I was glad he was out of the race, not because he wrecked. I don't feel bad for that.

Hallelujah! A 2nd Chance for "The Legend"

General

I'll tell you something else that is disgusting. Go to Twitter and watch how Mikey and ex-Sprint girl Paige Duke flirt with each other. I've seen where other folks have posted for them to "Get A Room" several times. People are beginning to wonder whats going on. Mikey is Un-Attached, again, and I guess everything is fair in Love, War and NASCAR.

Anyone coming to Charlotte for the races? Any way we could have a Racers Reunion get together at the track?

Just wondering why photos of current cars are posted on the photo page? Good shots, just don't match the age required to be posted.

Restyling Cars to Look Like Showroom Models Appeals to fans & Drives Sales

General

I look forward to the day when a Chevy looks like a Chevy. Dodge and Ford have done fairly good at making the racecar look more like the production car, but Chevy and Toyota still do not look like their namesakes. It is a step in the right direction but I'm afraid it will come up short. The common templates are here to stay so the only difference will be the nose and tail. Same roof, same windsheild, same profile. I'm still in favor of making the racecar look more like the street car, even if it does come up short.
