To the people cheering Jimmie Johnson's wreck: GROW UP!!
General
Guilty as charged. I cheered when I was sure Johnson was safe but out of the race. I don't view this as any differently than in college football, when a linebacker delivers a good "Snot Bubbler" to adarting runningback and plants him solidly to the ground. I cheer inside untill they both get up then I cheer openly. If the runningback is hurt, I don't cheer. I don't cheer because I want a driver to be hurt, nothing could be farther from the truth. I cheered when Johnson crashed for one simple reason, I'm sick of seeing him hoist the trophy. One driver winning so many championships in a row, in my opinion, is hurting the sport. The strange thing is I like Hendrick Motorsports and applaudtheir accomplishments.
I understand the ridicule aftermy post in reguards to the Dan Wheldon tragedy. I wonder myself how I can be so moved to write the Wheldon post, at yet cheer and feel no remorse for cheering when Johnson crash Saturday. I don't cheer in any tragic event, I'm not a cold hearted SOB. I find it hard to believe that no one else here has never cheered when another driversfalls out of a race.
